Elder E. D. Herod, well known in this county, died at his home in Morgantown, Morgan County, yesterday morning in the 77th year of his age. Elder Herod was for many years a resident of Boone County and represented that county several terms in the Legislature as a Democrat. He was a noted minister in the Old School Baptist Church and was known far and wide as a great debater. -s
